Preserved by the ice, he enabled findings concerning our physical connection with the neolithic era. Within the last ten years scientific findings have made advances concerning the circumstances sourrounding his murder. The suspicion of ritualistic sacrifice as well as the prominence of the crucifix places him into relation with the manifested religious and spiritual connotation of the Alps.
